The job

Simple to describe, hard to do.

You help people buy, sell and rent property in Dubai. You find them, earn their trust, show them the market, and close their deals. The company gives you the leads, the marketing, the CRM and the licence; you bring the hunger and the hours.

Commission only means exactly that: no salary. Some agents reach a stable income in their first couple of months; others need longer. That is why we recommend arriving with around six months of savings — runway to learn the market and build a pipeline properly. After that there is no ceiling: 50–70% commission, paid daily, on every deal you close.

McCone Properties has been family-run since 2013 and is now a team of more than two hundred people from all over the world. We do not mass-hire. Personality counts as much as experience, and plenty of our best agents brought no sales background at all — only the discipline to treat the desk as their own business.

How much do real estate agents earn in Dubai?
There is no salary; the job is commission only, at 50–70% of the agency fee on every deal, paid daily and tax free. Across the whole McCone team the average agent earned AED 410,000 in commission in 2025. Our top earner made AED 10.5 million the same year — that is the ceiling one person reached, not the average, but he is real. Most agents reach a stable income within their first few months; the six months of savings we recommend is the runway for that.
Do I need experience to get a real estate job in Dubai?
No. Most of our agents arrived with no property background and many with no sales background. Every new joiner goes through the same two-week academy before they see a client, and works beside a mentor with fifteen or more years in Dubai property afterwards. What we look for is hunger, discipline and the ability to hold a conversation — the rest is taught.
Do I need a RERA licence, and who pays for it?
Yes. Nobody may advertise or transact property in Dubai without a broker card from the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, and that requires a residency visa, an approved course and an exam. We arrange all three and pay for the course and the exam once you have passed our academy. You do not pay for your own licence.
Is the role salaried or commission only?
Commission only. We say it in the first line of every advert because it is the most important fact about the job. There is no basic salary and no draw against commission; there is also no cap, and commission is paid daily rather than at month end.
Do you provide a visa and health insurance?
Yes. McCone sponsors your UAE employment visa and provides private health insurance, both at no cost to you. The visa is what makes the RERA licence possible, so it is arranged first.
Do I need a driving licence?
You will need one. Viewings run across the city every day and clients expect to be collected. Licences from many countries convert to a UAE licence without a test; we will tell you whether yours does at the interview.
How long does it take to move to Dubai and start?
From application to a written offer is usually two to three weeks. Most people relocate within one to three months of the offer, depending on notice periods and visa processing. Once you land, the academy runs for two weeks and the RERA course and exam follow immediately, so a new agent is usually licensed and working company leads within a few weeks of arriving.
What does a first year look like?
The first month is training and licensing. Months two and three are the hard ones: learning a patch, building a pipeline from company leads, and closing the first deals. By the second half of the year a working agent has a list of active buyers and tenants, a set of landlords who call them first, and an income that no longer depends on this month alone.
Where is the office?
Onyx Tower 2, Office P305, The Greens, Dubai — one office, where the whole company sits, managers included. Sales, leasing, short-term rentals, conveyancing, mortgages and property management are all under the same roof, which is how a first-year agent gets a mortgage question answered by walking across the floor.
